Linear extension?

I’m waiting for my biopsy results (though I pretty much know what they’re going to say...) and received my ultrasound report from my US guided biopsy. It was more detailed that my original report and mentions the one irregular mass has “linear extension to just beneath the skin”. Anyone know what this means? When I google it brings up a lot about ductal extension, is it the same?

ah darn, should have known it probably wasn’t cut and dry! Maybe I’ll try posting at the end of my original post in the not diagnosed section. Still trying to learn the ropes here
