10 Years Out and Heading in for a Biopsy

SO EDITED TO ADD.....I ended up with a biopsy on each breast, They wanted to check the calcifications at the tumour site, and thankfully those came back negative. Unfortunately, the biopsy on my non-cancer breast ended up being MRI guided, and has come back positive for DCIS. Small and manageable, yes - but just so darn frustrating.

I hope to be able to avoid any treatment beyond surgery - which at this point, I'd like to be aggressive. I'm hoping they will be open to removing my breasts because I am absolutely DONE with this shit.

-------

My MRI report has come back with some growth/changes to an area they've been watching on my "good" boob so I'm heading in for an ultrasound and biopsy on Oct 21st. They also want to reimage the boob that had the cancer to check on changes... hmmm.

I don't have a good feeling about this...

Hey marjie - good to "see" you but sorry for the circumstances. I have had a couple of scares in the last ten years, including a bilaterally abnormal PET, pain that indicated avascular necrosis of the hip or mets, and additional concerning labs that indicated either bone or liver mets. I was very fortunate that all of those results were other things, and I am hoping the same for you. Hang in there.
