Pain and some bleeding “down there”

I have been on Arimidex for 2 years almost and am so dry and have bleeding when wiping after going to bathroom peeing, I know...TMI. But what do you girls do for pain and itching because of lack of estrogen? I got some cortisone cream. I couldn’t even imagine having sex😳 any suggestions. Not sure if using cortisone is the right thing. See my Dr. for Bloodtest results for AI next week. Thank you

HI Suzyshacklechick,

I use coconut oil, sometimes Vaseline but also have a prescription for Estrace cream which I use if my skin cracks and bleeds. It is a miserable side effect of lack of estrogen. The Estrace is an estrogen cream however I use it very sparingly a couple times a year,although my MO says I can use it twice weekly.

Hi, I am using vaginal suppositories ( 0.5 mg estradiol ) once a week with all my doctors' blessing, plus a non hormonal gel with hyaluronic acid recommended by my BS/gynecologist at least once a week/ prior to intercourse. So far so good. I have experienced strange looking discharge (sorry if TMI!) but no discomfort so far.

I’m using Replens. It’s over-the-counter and estrogen free. It may be irritating for you; however, since you’re bleeding. I’d check with my MO before trying it.

My MO also suggested olive oil or coconut oil. I haven’t tried either...,

Suzyshacklechick, if I am not mistaken, cortisone cream, at least used long term, THINS tissue. Might temporarily help itch but make things worse as far as beingfragile, tearing or splitting.
