Surgery and radiation sound like normal treatment for what you describe. I've had both myself and found the difficult at times but manageable. I've had serval spots individually treated with radiation of the past 3 years and am currently doing well. The poor prognosis is scary but if treated quickly, especially if the spots are few and small, there is a good chance for success. Unfortunately, more spots often pop up over time, so treatments are usually repeated. I've just learned to live with that and I am grateful to have options. Good luck.

also, there’s a group called brain mets sisters, if you want to read our experiences or ask specific questions.

Hi fac03, sorry to hear your news. Must be very a very scary time for you.
I think you should read & post on the brain mets sisters thread as that will have info specific to your case. https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/8/topics/...

All treatments have possible bad outcomes so you need to trust your team that the benefits outweigh the risks. You can always ask for a second opinion. If you're not in a large city, you can often get 2nd opinions through email & sending scans and reports by email to another dr.

Metastatic cancer is not curable but treatments can extend your life so getting a good treatment plan in place is so important!

    big hugs
