If there is another debate, will the moderators issue fly swatters?
-
Blue Girl -- too funny. If I had an extra used flyswatter I would send it to Pence right away.

My R eye is still a bit red in the inner corner (the lachrymal duct has yet to completely heal), but I have an excuse: 2 mos. ago it was sliced open, a biopsy needle and the equivalent of a sharp-edged bottle cap studded with radioactive seeds was stuck into it, left there for 5 days, and then upon plaque removal stitched closed.
Pence did look a little flushed--fever? Or could it be that he is so white that he can get sunburn from a flashlight?
Drumpf's little outdoor pep-talk video today was weird--his makeup looked stranger than usual (two different shades on his forehead vs. from cheeks on down). Perhaps he had to resort to applying it himself (did the poor s.o.b. who makes him up get sick or quit in disgusted fear?). And who was holding the camera? Typhoid Mary was less toxic.

And it turns out moderator Susan Page hosted a 2018 fundraising dinner (footing the $4K bill) for Pence protegé Seema Verma (apptd. by Trump to run the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services). Who was in charge of vetting moderators, anyway? First we get Chris Wallace (FOXNews), then someone from McPaper who is hardly impartial.
-
THe fly was not there, and even if it was, it will go away on its own
-
Glad you explained Susan Page. I was irritated with her several times and one time was going to get up and not bother with the rest of the debate.

These people are fucking crazy.......
Especially as such as this below has been going on..... all around them......

Oh that poor fly. Hope he didn't go home to his family first.....wife, 3 kids, elderly parents and Auntie Maude and her three kids visiting from the local dump.
-
Only Harris can give those kind of looks:

And by the way, Karen Pence came up on stage after the debate and she didn't have a mask. Kamala's husband had his on. Mother would I guess like you to believe she and Pence are special and that maybe she was sitting out in the audience w/o one. The audience ( not sure ) while I was watching was not panned like it was last time. So, I guess maybe we don't know if the ALL the rules were adhered to.

Imagine if the fly had landed on Trump's head!! He would either say it's the best fly ever or deploy the army to kill it and blame it on Biden. But even the fly can't stand him.

Any path is only a path, and there is no affront, to oneself or to
others, in dropping it if that is what your heart tells you. . . .Look
at every path closely and deliberately. Try it as many times as
you think necessary. Then ask yourself, and yourself alone,
one question. . . . Does this path have a heart? If it does,
the path is good; if it doesn't, it is of no use.

Well this is taking where it really hurts.

Mary Trump just keeps fighting back over this fool of a man -- her relative. It is coming late, but it is coming. Likely this is the only time she had much hope of people listening to her -- now that Trump is on the way down.
-
I have been soooo done with these people for so long. Like everyone, I had to try and be patient while assaulted daily by the horror show that began during the speech after swearing in. I had hopes that it would be discovered by the other side in due time and possibly dealt with on a decent level but very quickly the idiots fell in line.
Are they going to now, along with Trump, get their just desserts. I sure hope so. I hope they get trounced like never before -- in all history trounced to the point of leaving ofc. with their tail between their legs, head down and just totally suffering. Maybe the totally suffering may not happen but sure hope the rest of it does.
-
Yes! RBG sent the fly!! LOL!! Fabulous memes!!
And I can't imagine that there would ever be a Trump library. The man can't read, after all. Probably doesn't own a book that doesn't have his name on the cover, so the book shelves would be bare,, or full of "the Art of the deal".
-
I LOVE the RBG fly!
-
IllinoisLady, I noticed Karen P. taking off her mask as well. It was established that anyone not wearing a mask other than the active participants would be escorted from the building if they didn't have a mask on. The GOP just can't help themselves to hold themselves above the rules.
And I got so tired of hearing, "Thank you, Vice President" over and over and over again when he just wouldn't shut up. She should have just started reading the next question and ignored him.
She was also way to passive letting him use up his allotted time for one question by listing his talking points for the previous question. That absolutely should not have been allowed.

An exclusive interview with the fly from the debate
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/10/08...
The best part:
Are you a fruit fly? Or do you mostly — if you could land on any substance, what would you land on?
(Very gracefully and with effortless cool, the fly deposits itself on a small pile of horse dung.)
-
Mirianda and Blue 22,
I'm sure I'll be cackling every time I think of these two pieces you have put in. Love them both totally.
-
Kidnapping a governor, anyone? Did you think we'd be here 4 years ago? I didn't.
