I had a painful lump in my arm which has slight lymphedema issues. It ended up being cellulitis. I didn’t have any scratches or even remember hurting that arm. I later think my cat may have put his claw through my arm at night. He sometimes walks on me. Do you know if you had any injuries to your arm?

Flo - you've posted with a lump in your groin, a pain in your face and now this swelling in your arm. It might make better sense to pick a thread and post all the on-going issues in one place instead of starting new threads all the time. We would be better able to follow the progression of your issues.
That said - since you already know you have LE, this question likely should be posted in the LE threads - not concerned about mets. Hope you saw your LEPT and didn't wait on the oncologist.

Hi Minus Two sorry for replying late. I realized this. I have so ma by weird symptoms and now have pain under the rib of non cancer breast. It hurts when I press. Thank you as always for being there

Hi Flo. I see you were diagnosed just over a year ago. It is common and understandable to be concerned about every odd pain or sensation that pops up, I am now sixteen years out. In my personal experience, and from observing on the boards, this worryreduces overtime. Basically, you eventually get on with living your life. When you are ER+ you will always be mindful of the risk of recurrence when serious symptoms occur, but life becomes more normal. I hope you don't recur. In the meantime, don't be too hard on yourself as a lot of people also worry about everything at first. Take care.

Hi Sandydust thank you so much for replying and wishing you good health and happiness always. I agree and these aches and pains make me crazy. Now I have a pain in my ribs under the non cancer breast. I had an abdominal ct scan in July and was wondering if that shows lower chest area as well. I had a chest X-ray as well. When I press it hurts there

Hi Alice totally agree and try my best

Well, yes,it does mean you suffer twice (or needlessly) but just telling someone to stop worrying does not work. Everyone is different and everyone is entitled to kindness. I hope some of the more recently diagnosed ladies with a tendency to worry are comforted to know that it passes with time. I did not have a lot of time for worry as I had two four-year-olds to care for, but I do remember the passage of time helped. My oncologist also mentioned that ladies tended to notice things with their bodies more ini the initial stages
For me, because I was so young. It was hard to work out whether to plan for the long term or live entirely like life was short. Thankfully, I adjusted and I have been so fortunate to see my boys grow into young men.
I am having a biopsy on my mediastinal nodes on Thursday. I told my GP today, I expect the results to be normal. If they are not, I will adapt.
I have seen a lot on these boards over the years and I find kindness is key.

hi flo, I got in here late, but I'm wondering how this all worked out for you? I have something very similar going on & that same nagging fear of metastasis...
I had stage 3a 10+ years ago. Had mild lymphadema at the time, was resolved, then not bothered again til this spring when my arm began to swell, no idea why. Went to a clt ( lymphadema therapist ) got a week of treatment - massage, wrapping - & began to wear a compression sleeve. Shortly after developed a lump on my forearm & pain in my arm along with numbness in my hand. Have seen my pcp, an orthopedic surgeon, & a neurologist & started another round of lymphadema therapy. The consensus is the ulnar nerve ( in elbow ) is being irritated by the swelling. The forearm lump is nearly gone, I still have some elbow swelling - less for sure, the pain lessening. Hope you are feeling better, I perfectly understand the cancer fear!
