About to start care- just got initial ER/PR and HER2+

I'm both trying to research and also not get ahead of myself - which really isn't possible. But I received my pathology report today, and it indicates low positive values on the ER and PR, and +3 on HER2. Specifically:

Estrogen Receptor Protein - Low Positive - 5%
Progresterone REceptor Protein- Low Positive - 1%
Her-2 NEC encoprotein is Positive (3 + 100%)

I was a little panicked that the nurse said they might opt for chemo first- but after some reading here, I think I see indications why. No other data yet- grading or such. It's IDC, and 1.3 cm.

Are there others in the same category - low on both hormone receptors, and HER2+? The report also has the fairly standard sentence that: "Data suggests IC with those results are heterogenous in behavior and biology and often have gene expression prifiles more similar to ER negative cancers."

HER2+ almost always means chemo first. It's aggressive so they like to give it a hard shot before surgery. You should have imaging before Chemo & again after so they will be able to tell how much the tumor shrank or disappeared.

I was ER/PR negative. Hopefully someone else will come along who knows more, but I guess it's possible they could choose chemo based on negative or positive receptors since your numbers are so low.
