Hi all this is my first post.

I am 36 years old have allegran implants since 2016, all has been well. I recently had a baby, 5 months old.

I noticed my right breast feels like a lump in the implant, not sure if lump is best way to describe it, maybe a bulge

You can't see anything and both my breasts look normal, it's only when I gently lift or tap the breast I can feel it. It's not sore and no redness or other symptoms.

My implants are known to cause bia alcl I was notified last year but told not to worry if I didn't have any concerns. Hmmm.

I'm panicking that this is cancer.

If I stand and bend over and let my breasts hang, the left stays rounder than the right which goes into a slight point towards the nipple.

I am going to go for an mri but just wondering does anyone have any advice or similar happenings.

Is it because of the baby, I only breast fed for a week.

Thanks

Jamie - Have you had breast cancer? Did you have the implants put in as reconstruction after cancer surgery? Or were they cosmetic only? That will make a difference to what breast tissue you may have left.

I have had Allergan 410 implants since 2011 after a bilateral mastectomy. Of course we were all going to worry when they were recalled, but NOTE - only the stock on the shelves was recalled. As you said, there was no call to 'explant' them from women.

There are so many changes in the body during and after pregnancy it would be hard to say exactly what has caused the shape changes/differences. You're doing the best thing. I had an ultrasound and MRI this year just as a precaution and everything was fine 9 years down the road. Now I will just be going back every two years for an ultrasound. Do let us know when you get your results.
