Going Flat? Post-mastectomy wardrobe styling & fashion resource

Options

Hi everyone!

This post has been approved by the Mods :).

I am new to the forum, but I am breast cancer survivor of 12 years and am currently living flat after having my implants removed in 2014. In 2007, I started treatment with a right side mastectomy, then 6 months of chemo, a month of rads, followed by DMX, expanders, implants...then explant. My cancer was Stage 3 IDC with 4 positive nodes.

I wanted to give back.

In October 2019, I started a thrifty wardrobe styling and thrifting project called Going Flat: Thrifty Fashion for the Boobless, to help others who have decided or are deciding to "go flat",to find clothing that makes them feel beautiful in their new bodies.

I have helped quite a few women so far, and would like to reach out to everyone here to check out what I do. I currently offer wardrobe styling and personal thrifty shopping sessions VIRTUALLY to anywhere in the world, and services to the breast cancer community are offered at NO CHARGE. I also have a constantly updating selection of curated, vintage, second hand clothing and ship across North America.

I'm on the web at: goingflat [dot] com

Or on Instagram: [at] goingflat

Please reach out to me here on the forum, or via my website or social media, if you have questions or want to connect for a styling session. I'm happy to help in anyway I can <3.

Thank you so much for listening. xo

Thank you! I had surgery in December. Not many people notice my flatness in the winter with layers and such. I feel a couple times this summer, total strangers have noticed and I am a little afraid of how some people might react. So far, no problems but in this era...

    I need help with fashon!
