So in the face of all these revelations about his dissing of our military & war dead/disabled, and recordings of his admission that he early on knowingly suppressed info about COVID, why is he still so beloved by his base? Because they haven't heard about any of it--it just doesn't get printed, posted or aired in their alt-right media bubble; and they are so brainwashed that when confronted with damning audio & video they just accuse it of being "deepfakes" (as the right itself is so skilled at creating). Unless and until he is caught on a hot mic dissing them as his dupes (maybe not even then--"deepfakery" again), they will stick with him because he hates whom they hate, incites them to keep fearing whom they already fear, encourages them to exercise their unfettered "liberties" (except defense of minorities and public criticism of him), and promises to elevate fetal lives over already-born, especially Black, lives.

You have to be kidding me !! Another true horror story. All those on the SC I hope stay really well the next couple of months.

I think the latest fiasco ( sitting 18 times with Bob Woodward for interviews which now have tapes to back up what the orange one said ( rather hard to lie your way out of that ) should be certainly enough to help with the trump sins catalog of not really being a president. He is a golfer ( cheats at that too ) and when not golfing watches tv. Never was presidential -- too busy lining his pockets . So broke he has to have Barr defend his latest rape allegation and it is substantial because Barr wouldn't be helping him. Is there really anyone in the world right now that would loan him money?

Nothing going right, almost everything going wrong and the sins are piling up higher and higher. Campaign out of money, Trump is up against it for coins, and his poll numbers have not really improved. Biden's have held steady. I'm not sure how the man gets up every day. Not much to look forward to it seems to me if your Trump. These rallies he is having of late don't seem to be moving the needle either. coming up on a week-end and maybe another book. Chickens seem to be finding their way home now. Yes, I sure think if I was Trump I'd have trouble trying to find a reason to keep banging my head against the wall. Apparently he does not think of what is going on as losses accruing on his side of the ledger.

Hi Di, I worked as a hospice nurse from 2013 until last April. My doc said it was too dangerous for me to be working in so many nursing homes, hospitals and private homes. It's ok, I had planned on retiring next May when I reach full social security age. It happened so suddenly that I was kind of in shock going from 90 MPH to the social isolation we are all going through. I have always gardened but this summer we grew almost all of our vegetables and it has been a lifesaver. My dog Henry and I go out first thing every morning to check on everybody, work until it gets too hot then we goof off. DH is very happy.

Hospice was very fulfilling work - hard but worth it. I feel blessed.

At this point, I don't even care if Trump serves any time for any crime. I would accept simply him being voted out of office on November 3rd. If he is voted out, I do not expect him to serve time regardless of who has what on him. I would be satisfied for him to just be gone and he go back to Maralago. He can be pardoned for all his sins, I don't care.

We all remember President Gerald Ford's infamous phrase at his swearing in after Nixon resigned: “My fellow Americans, our long national nightmare is over." That's all I want. That would be good enough for me.
