Hello All, I am new to this site. I had a mamo and ultrasound of my right breast, the mamo didn’t show anything( I have heterogeneously dense breasts). The ultrasound showed a small Hypoechoic nodule with posterior shadow so radiologist is recommending biopsy. Since last night my right armpit is very tender to the touch. I guess I’m looking for anyone in a similar situation to mine.

Thanks and sending love and positive vibes to all x

Just had the biopsy done today, the good news is that my BS said she would be surprised if it was malignant so that made me feel better. I’m quite sore after it. I will come back on Thursday after I confirm with the results of the biops

Got my biopsy results today and thankfully b9!!

Not sure yet what it is but just so thankful it’s b9 and don’t need a follow up for 6 months.

Wishing everyone on here the best of luck x

Glad to hear it came back benign. Now get back on with life!

Thank you beach2beach, turns out was just “benign fatty breast tissue”, which was surprising as I have very dense breasts.

Absolutely so glad it’s over and will move on now. Wishing everyone else on here best wishes, and thanks to all this site was a great help during the wait :) xox

Cleo, I had an ultrasound this summer that was a follow-up, and the tech asked about a lump in my underarm the BS had noticed, which wasn't something I knew anything about. I found a small spot with my fingertips, which I had noticed before but didn't seem to change at all over time. The tech spent a fair amt of time on it, and the radiologist said it was a wad of fat. I'm a pretty lean person so that surprised me! But it's great news for both of us. Sometimes fat is good news. :)
