Fab4mom: I had my eighth treatment today and I can see my skin turning a little pink. I did get a little scolded for putting on too much lotion too close the my treatment time..so, I will wait until after my treatment to put on the lotion. My treatments have been moved up to 8 am, so that will be a little easier since I'm working through all of this. I'm so sorry to hear about your car issues. Way to handle everything and not miss your treatment! Awesome to have a husband that took care of it.

It's so interesting that every RO has their own prodigal. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week.

I don't put anything on in the mornings, just wash and go. I put the Aloe on as soon as I get home and twice more before the day is over.

Radiation is almost done, I'm a getting red, the boob doesn't hurt but, under my arm is a little sore, probably because it's more movement.

mmorigan - how many total rads for you? That’s great you are almost done!

I really enjoyed the three day weekend. Got out for a long walk and went and played pickleball outside with a few friends. It’s like tennis, but easier and pretty fun. I felt almost normal for the afternoon, kind of forgot about Covid and Cancer. I had good every and my chest and arms felt fine

My skin looks a little bit tan at the radiation site, and I feel it tightening up. Also, I feel like the area to the side of my breast near my armpit looks more swollen since starting radiation. I’m not sure if radiation causes swelling. It’s minor.

Bus week with radiation every day along with an echocardiogram tomorrow. HP infusion Wednesday and OT check in on Friday. Add those appointments to helping with e-learning and my days will be full.

I hope everyone had a good weekend

2 Sessions left. I would have finished tomorrow but, the Labor Day Holiday pushed me out a day, so I finish Monday. They already gave me my discharge paperwork which is to continue the Aloe/Aquaphor until healed and call if anything happens (pealing, splitting, etc).

I feel pretty good, I am a little tired but, that could be the Kadcyla or the Tamoxifen. My skin is red and I'm irritated under the arm. Other than that I'm doing well and glad it's almost over.

Best of luck everyone the end will be here before you know it.😁

Had 14 of 28, so I’m halfway there. I’m pretty tried this afternoon, but it has been a long and busy week. Skin still seems ok. I had a check in with my OT and she says my skin looks great and I’m doing well keeping my range of motion. So far so good. All I know is I told my husband he’s in charge for dinner, I don’t even want to have to think about feeding the family after the week I had. Hope everyone is holding up ok. And congrats on one last treatment mmor

    DONE!

Today was my last Radiation, they gave me a little certificate of completion 😁

I'm glad I'm done since my under arm is pretty red and hurts a lot. Also under my book where the incision scared isn't happy. I had to take some Tylenol this morning to deal with the pain since I knew I'd be in positions (getting Rads) that are uncomfortable.

I'll let you know how long it takes to heal.

congrats mmorigan! Cool that they gave you a certificate. A little red and sore doesn’t sound too bad. Hopefully it stays that way, I have heard that it continues to get worse for a week or two, but I hope not. I’m 16 down, 12 to go. Saw my RO today. She said I’m starting to look pink and it will get red. Told me to start putting coconut oil on in the evenings. Still doesn’t hurt thankfully. I’m battling fatigue sometimes, but then insomnia at night. I think insomnia might be Herceptin, but it’s annoying me. Not too much fatigue today.

Yeah, they warned me it could get worse before it healed.

I'm over week out from final radiation and I'm starting to peel in some places, others just seem to be fading from sunburn to tan...which I can never do normally.

All in all, Radiation wasn't a bad experience.

ETA: still using the Aloe 3xday and I've added an aloe cream with some nutrients (RO said it was OK).

I have a follow up with both the RO and PS in Mid-October, then it's just a waiting game until the exchange surgery
