Waiting for skin punch biopsy results
Comments
-
I finally went to see the breast specialist and she decided to take a biopsy of my rash. Everyone there was really nice and the procedure itself didn't hurt but it really hurt afterwards when the freezing wore off probably because i'm a baby lol. She did say it seemed more like a skin issue than a breast issue but because of the swelling and redness they just want to make sure it's not something serious. I'm still kind of freaking out but the fact that she didn't seem worried makes me feel better

Thank you.
Doctor called and basically said the biopsy results haven’t come in yet even though it’s been a week but she’ll call me when they do. She sounded much more serious on the phone so now I’m just freaked out again.

If your doctor hasn't seen the biopsy results, any way she sounded on the phone would have NOTHING to do with those results. Maybe she's tired. Maybe her car broke down. Maybe she had to tell the last person she talked to something serious. Maybe she was chewing a candy bar. Maybe maybe maybe.

Hi ! Can you please elaborate on your symptoms? It’s a rash on your breast? Swelling, redness? Do you feel warmth ? Pitted skin - Peau d’Orange?
Im just curious cuz I was diagnosed with breast cellulitis two weeks ago. I’m on antibiotics till tomorrow. I’m seeing my doctor on Tuesday and I’m wondering if I should push for a punch biopsy
Please let us know your results. I hope it’s nothing. 🤞🤞

I got the results from an assistant— it was some form of dermatitis (a bunch of big words I can’t spell or say) so basically a skin infection. From what I understand, I actually did get another type of infection since the wound was open and bacteria could get into it so that’s what caused the redness all over the breast and swelling. Thank y’all for comforting me anyways lol

Great news! Doing the happy dance for you.
Now you just have to rid of this infection.

Congrats pinkedge
Eigna - you need to get rid of inflammation/infection and quit worrying about IBC. Time enough for a punch biopsy once the cellulitis is healed. And that is IF you want to be poked with LE.

Congrats Pinkedge

Excellent news!
