My sons wedding.

So I am posting this here so my friends that are not stage 4 can post. And anyone else who wanders in 🙂
So...my only child...my son is getting married now Oct 3rd. I need some opinions about something.
So when my son was about 5 years old my mom came over one day and said you need to hear this song its your song to your son...one day you will dance at his wedding with him to this song. I heard it and loved it and I will dance with him soon at his wedding to it. But in the beginning of the song it says "dad"..... My son and some family told me it doesn't matter that no one will notice....we are gonna ask the dj to try and fade it out but if he cant...we may have to leave it i wondered if you all could listen to the song and let me know if its ok to leave it as is like my close family and few friends said.

I think leave it alone. A fade will be more obvious. I think it will be lovely just as it is.
-
It's lovely and the word "Dad" does not matter here. It's the relationship between a parent and child and their faith. That is beautiful. The only thing that matters is that the two of you are comfortable with it.
My son and I danced 2 years ago to What A Wonderful World, by Louis Armstrong.
His bride and her dad danced to a Merle Haggard song that was weirdly inappropriate. (And I say that as a big Merle Haggard fan!)

I think it is fine as is and lovely.
I wanted this played at my wedding, but I’m Episcopalian and they didn’t allow secular music in church. (Guess the rules don’t apply if you’re Prince Harry:) Devoted to you by the Everly Brothers

it’s a beautiful song. Don’t change it
-
You can't go wrong with Frank Sinatra, I think its wonderful as is, I think everyone will automatically substitute "mom" for "dad" in their minds. I did listening to it.

thank you so much ladies 😘

There won't be a dry eye in the room. It's beautiful. All the guests will be thinking of you and your son. 💒💞

Nicole, what a perfect song for the occasion! I'm with the others... don't worry about the one word. People will either not notice, or since they will be seeing you dancing with your son, in their minds they will think "Mom".
Congratulations on your son's wedding! 🍾 -
thanks Grannax!
Thanks Beesie miss you !!!!!

I was fairly close to initial dx and tx when my younger dd got married. It felt like the most special miracle to be there. The song is lovely and the wedding will be too. Wishing the families lots of mazel.

Dear exbrnxgrl,
Hello. I was on the “Alternative treatment” thread, and Trish suggested that you might be able to help me with where to get CBD oil. I get so many email solicitations to buy it, but I am reluctant to buy on the internet. May I ask where you get yours from? I would greatly appreciate your knowledge in this area. I have no idea what to buy either....seems there are many CBD options. I want to stop chemo treatments for bone mets andtry to find an alternative way to treat my metastatic breast cancer.
Thank you for any input you can provide.
Laurie
