Indent by right armpit

Not diagnosed but concerned. I had microcalcifications 2 years ago and needed a biopsy. All came back well and they placed a marker. I have heterogeneously dense breasts so i typically get called back every year after my screening mammo. A couple months ago I had a weird tingly feeling under my right armpit, next to breast and it kind of went around to back. Same breast I had the biopsy on. It felt like a string inside was pulling. Then one morning i noticed a definite indent to the right of my breast, by my armpit. That breast also seems to have shrunk compared to the left side which seems more full. I did also have some discharge (not spontaneous) that was clear and sometimes milky looking. I'm 46 and my children are 21 and 18 so breastfeeding has been long gone! I've also had like 3 little sores under that right breast for some time. I've had 4 spots of basal cell carcinoma cut out so i was thinking maybe it was that. My dermatologist didn't biopsy but game me a Ketoconazol cream thinking it could be Intertrigo. The marks are still there, they never really disappear completely. I did go see my primary doctor and she could definitely see the indent and sent me to have an ultrasound at the breast clinic. They didn't see anything but a small cycst (not in the area of the indent, but in different location) and they said the lymph node was a little enlarged. I should mention my primary also did bloodwork and all came back good except the CRP test which is for inflammation. That was high. She said sometimes insurance doesn't cover breast MRI and they have to fight to get one done. I haven't pushed for that yet and said i would just wait until my next mammo which will be in January. My last mammo was only a regular one, not a 3D. My maternal aunt had breast cancer and was diagnosed at age 63.

I had that string-pulling sensation, too. At first I thought it was from my bra. Nope. I couldn’t feel any lumps when I did a self exam the proper way, but eventually did after I put my arm down.

My doc said it was most likely scarring from past biopsies and it was, but then they noticed a new suspicious lesion (cancer) adjacent to it. We caughtit early thanks to the scar tissue.

    Glad they caught it early!

I can feel a small lump deep inside when my arms are down versus raised above my head, but I have such lumpy breasts, I figured I was probably just feeling that lumpiness. I just don't know if I should pursue the MRI or just wait for my next mammo?

    Bad2theBoob,

Can i ask how your doctor found yours? Was it through mammogram, US, or MRI?
