Pain x 4 weeks
Hi everyone -
99% of me knows I'm fine but the 1% that isn't sure brought me here. I've had lower back/nerve pain that's effecting my bladder and shooting nerve pain down my right arm for about 4 weeks. Had a bladder infection ruled out as that's what it feels like and have been seeing the chiropractor regularly. I do want to note that the nerve/bladder feeling has happened to me before years ago. But, I have also lost my appetite within the past few weeks which is not like me AT ALL. I attributed everything to sitting in a non-office seat while working from home and a touch of depression from all the crap going on in the world. It didn't occur to me that it could be something else until yesterday. I called my MO today and he wants to see me tomorrow. I'm just venting here as I don't want to alert my family unless there's something to alert them about. Everyone is so stressed with the virus, I don't want to add to it unnecessarily. Thanks for reading.

PolkaDot - good luck tomorrow. Yes, I defnitely would not tell anyone else at this point until you know for sure.

PolkaDot best wishes for tomorrow. Hopefully it will be nothing to worry about. We are here to talk and bounce ideas off. These have been tough times for sure. None of us is feeling quite normal.

Hi, PDP! I noticed we have a near identical diagnosis, received the same year. I don’t have any sage advice but just wanted you to know I’ll be thinking of you and I hope you get a scan soon to help you determine what’s causing your pain and discomfort. I’ve had quite a bit of bone pain ever since my diagnosis, so I can understand your concern. Those “what if’s” like to hang around like a loyal dog.

Hoping they figure out a benign cause. keep us posted
-
Thank you all for the support. I really appreciate it. ♥️

Sending you hugs and hoping you simply have that same problem from before. I have had a couple of false alarms and the process is not fun at all, so stressful.
-
Had my appointment and MO suspects symptoms are from a slipped disc vs a recurrence, but has ordered lab work and MRIs to be sure. I feel better after talking with him but that 1% will feel much better after I get the results back. Thanks again for your support.
Hugs all around. ♥️

PDP - continued good luck with the test results

Update in case anyone does a search and this thread pops up (as I did when I was concerned). My brain and lumbar spine MRIs were clear of any malignancies and my lab work came back within normal limits. I do have a herniated disc that has likely been an issue for years but has been irritated, thus the nerve/bladder pain. I'll be pursuing PT to help.
I'm glad I called my MO although a part of me felt like I was overreacting/wasting his time but I know that 1% of me that was worried would've continued to nag at me. Long story short - if something is bugging you, get checked out. It could be something, it could be nothing, but you won't know unless you're seen by your physician.
Hugs 💕

PolkaDot - good news. Or rather - sorry for your pain but glad it's not cancer. Thanks for coming back & sharing your diagnosis. So many don't.
