Shoulder pain after lymph node dissection?

a few days after my surgery, one night I moved my left shoulder (same side as the Bc), I felt a sharp shooting pain in my rotate cuff area (front part). It still hurts after 3-4 days and I can barely move my shoulder. I feel my surgery incision is not the painful part right now but the shoulder.

I feel like this has to be related with surgery but would it go away?

It probably is related to your surgery, your arms are held out from your body the entire time you're under and it puts strain on the shoulder. When I had my surgery I woke up not being able to feel or move my left arm at all because of the impingement on my shoulder. Mine got better and most likely yours will, too, but you probably have something going on in that shoulder to make it react like that in the first place. Give it some time and if it doesn't improve you might want to have it looked at. Just my non-medical opinion.

Yeah, my shoulders have really hurt after my last couple surgeries. I have some arthritis in both, and the positioning during surgery aggravated it. The real shoulder killer was radiation! It took months to stop aching from that stretched overhead position.

thank you! I went to my doc for post op yesterday and it’s exactly what you guys mentioned.

Mine is getting better but the twist motion still hurts.
