Brain Mets....?

Options

Ahhh. I’m starting to drive myself crazy. Before cancer I had a history of headaches. I’m almost a year out from chemo. The last few days I’ve had a mild headache. The thing that worries me the mostis on the left side of my head, I get this sharp pain. It lasts about 3 seconds, goes away. This continues throughout the day. Is this something I should be worried about? What are typical brain met symptoms.

Brain Mets can be tricky and you’re better off knowing for sure so I’d tell your MO. That being said, I have a history of migraines and while a 3 day tension headache lead to my brain Mets diagnosis, the mets were too small to be the cause. The tension headache was actually caused by skin pain after the final week of breast radiation. The headache was a happy accident though because brain mets are typically much easier to treat when caught early.

Document your symptoms. ANy change that lasts for 2 weeks warrants atention. Hoping the pain eases!
