going crazy
i have had breast pain for almost 2 weeks now. It began on the shoulder and arm and now is completely localized in the breast. I had to go to the hospital sat from the pain and he just sent me back home saying it was a muscle spasm. He signed me up for tests tho so I have a mammogram and ultrasound on thurs. My doc called yest he gave me a blood test for friday and 2 x rays and an ultrasound for next wednes.
I was so desperate that last night I spoke to an online doctor to get antibiotics to rule out infection.
I am going completely crazy with worry. I have 2 young sons.
I am having chills and feel hot from all of this stress. My breast will not stop aching. I just want to feel well again.
I have not felt a lump... but u never know right? Also my areola kind of inverts but that could also be because the breast is sagging from breast feeding?
Please tell me some encouraging words.

Pain like this can be caused by pinched nerves in the thoracic region. There are several thoracic nerves which enervate the breast. A registered massage therapist can usually make that better. It would be face down treatment so in a clinic that uses good precautions reasonably safe even in covid times.
If the Dr suggested muscle strain did you get a muscle relaxant? Are otc pain relievers like Aleve not working? Also - Are you still breastfeeding?

but pain is radiating through my breast 24/7. Right now the pain is on the nipple this morning on my upper left side and armpit. He only gave me naproxen which works but maybe gives me 40% relief so I am in constant pain. No I weaned 3 mths ago

that sounds awful. The tests this week will hopefully give more clarity about what could be causing it.
Have you tried cool packs or heat on your breast for pain relief? You can freeze wet facecloths draped over a round container to make something you could tuck into a bra.

Hi ,
I have muscle spasms too which makes my left breast in pain. I went for a 3 rounds of therapy session for my pectoralis muscles and back muscles coz they are all connected. Try to search on pectoralis muscle becoz it is in the breast region too.
Before therapy I have left breast pain, armpit, shoulder and back pain. All becoz of muscle spasms. Now Im better. The pain not totally gone but it is now better than before. I suffered for like 7 months.
I will be going for an ultrasound again just to make sure.
Hope I made u feel better
