Had core biopsy today

Hi everyone,

I found this board about a week ago and just wanted to post about my biopsy I’m case anyone is reading with questions about their own coming up. I’m also nervous for the results! Send me prayers if you can 🙏🏼

After feeling a lump, I had diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound and was rated BiRADS 4a. If you do not know what your results showed call your ordering Dr and find out. I had no idea and was miserable for 6 days until I finally called them not even realizing that I should have called right away.

Anyhow, had the core needle this afternoon. It wasn’t bad, just I got nervous in the room and that was worse than the procedure. I am also not a fan of going numb at the dentist so yeah. He took just 3 samples. Numbing to him being done was less than 15 mins. And then had mammogram after to check clip position. Took about an hour overall.. waiting ect. He explained everything well which I am glad of.

I’m a little sore but not to the point of needing a Tylenol.
