Yay to your daughter, spookiesmom. My youngest daughter and her friends have been out at the protests here in LA. Contrary to what Kim Jong Yam tries to tell his supporters, it's been mostly peaceful and orderly. The exception was this past Sunday, when a weird religious group showed up without masks and started screaming "Jesus", and threatening to bite people. My daughter got a covid19 test on Thursday.
She may not go back for a while. Too bad. I was going to start going, then I broke my ankle. Can't walk very fast, and sure as heck can't run. ☹
Maybe in the fall. I'm sure there will still be plenty to protest.

"Kim Jong Yam" 🤣
Love the protesting kids! My husband asked tonight if it would be ok to punch anyone who tried coughing on him. Definitely! Plus that person would need to be restrained for testing. Biting is even worse. Without covid-19, a human bite is full of harmful bacteria.

You surely did raise her right Spookiesmom. She definitely knows the antithesis of quality when it is around her. Somehow ( doesn't mean they wouldn't vote for him of course ) that while many would still go to the rallies or other events, in my mind I feel like some of the Trump group have some disenchantments with him. Some of them surely have good friends, family members, people they work with that have gotten the virus, and I also suspect a good number are struggling on the monetary front. They will hang on and maybe I am being generous here, but I feel like some will have nagging thoughts of having been let down when they thought things might be better.
I do know they have a huge need to thumb their nose at those who they think have been the source of any and all of what dismays them in their life and Trump managed to be able to latch on to just that. Still I think surely there is a point where some reality hits them in the face at least a little. At least, now and then. In any case -- even if he didn't lose a one of them -- they are not enough.

With Reps. you are never safe. Many of them are well off -- but woe unto you -- it is not for you as far as they are concerned. I so hope a great good many of them at next election time coming up shortly end up going home for good. I definitely would like to hope Mitch McConnel is one of them.
Opinion: Trump and Republicans push to destroy Social Security
With ardent GOP support Trump has spent three-and-a-half years decimating all parts of the federal government. Now his attention is fulfilling the GOP's decades-long goal of destroying elderly Americans' retirement and health insurance programs by starving them of funding. It is no exaggeration to say that even Republicans are aware of how crucial the Social …

These Reps. who are close to the Oval Office just continue to deny that there isn't really a president. I don't see one and I haven't from the first. Trump is stuck up there at the head -- gets to stand up in front of podiums and say things -- a lot of which never, ever should be said, and jet around to other countries making asses out of himself and by extension all of us. He loves to play with dictators of other countries -- but when not performing the above the fat fool watches tv, makes tweets, and lollygags till almost noon. Then towards the week-end he is huffing and puffing to get in AF One and head to one of his properties to golf and charge the tax paying public. This Marc Meadows and Mr. Mnuchin is not a president -- not even presidential. He is a rather fat, mentally deficient con man who is going senile. He is a dark stain and scourge. I cannot wait until he is gone.
White House Busted For Claiming Trump Is Negotiating COVID Bill But He Is Golfing
Mark Meadows and Steve Mnuchin tried to claim that Trump is involved in the COVID relief bill negotiations until reporters pointed out that he's golfing.

Ruth, as usual great memes. So yes -- Herman Cain would still be here is people would have listened to Trump and not done that terrible testing that reveals all -- better known as truth. You know, sometimes I wonder how many people may have passed on from covid early on that may not have been counted as a coved death.
Trump seems ( what a strong ability ) to just NOT is all sorts of things and the covid testing is just one of them. It he deems it negative to him then he will find a way for it not to exist. Just what he is setting the stage for in trying to make mail-in/absentee ballots ( but actually absentee are fine ) somehow fraudulent. So many people are tired of it all. I think they were looking/hoping for the Democrats to come up with a solution for them and that wasn't working as well any anyone ( indeed us ) had hoped. Then these last three or so months -- and in lg. part since Trump starting horning in on the Fauci/CDC covid briefings and taking over completely so as to have rallies a lot of extreme ( drink the bleach ) things have come up and we are to the point now where I really don' t think it is up to the Democrats. The damage Trumk is going to himself is monumental for the most part. People just want to be rid of him. Yay.....

One of the OTHER bog reasons we need rid of this orange leech. He doesn't know shit from shinola or even who he ran against in 2016. He knows as Col. Klink would say NOTHING.

John Lewis funeral.

Love all of these postings but the one on the funeral and the vote against Republicans are probably my favorites for today. I would attend Trump's funeral but only to ensure he was dead.
I completed a form from the Republican party seeking feedback on DJT's campaign and one of the options was an other: I wrote that they should fire Trump, McConnell and Graham. Do you think it made it past the circular file cabinet? It was worth the stamp (no free postage) and I felt an intense sense of gratification afterwards. Asked for a donation as well and I offered nothing.

I see polls on Facebook by Republicans. I have made up a fake name and a fake email address and I answer the poll. Since it is machine tabulated, I think it makes it through.

This poor family

How sad for that family that they did what they needed to remain safe but still lost a valued family member.
I just wish that those who do opt to wear a mask realize that they need to cover their nose! So tired of those who don't. Covering their mouth only is not enough to protect themselves or others.

I saw another obituary that said in lieu of flowers, please vote Donald Trump out of office.
