The Peter Principle doesn't apply to the Trumps and Kush. It assumes they have risen to their current positions due to past success based on talent. These idiots were born into money and stole more. They are the product of nepotism and greed.

The question of succession is thornier than Prof. Tribe points out. A defeated President is still President (albeit lame duck) until Jan. 20 of the following year. And as a lame duck, Trump would be a wounded animal indeed--not docile, but desperately lashing out for blood, doling out stratgic pardons and punishing his critics.
But here's the kicker: Congressional terms end earlier, on Jan. 3--all 435 Representatives and 1/3 of the Senate. Now, it's true that even Presidential elections and those for Congress & Senate are administered by the individual states. But those contests appear on the same ballot as the top of the ticket. So if the ballots take longer than Jan. 3 to be counted & certified, there would be no Speaker because there would be no House--even Pelosi would not be allowed to stay on the job unless CA's ballots were counted and certified well in advance of Jan. 3.. (And in most states, there is little likelihood that the Congressional races would be decided before the Big Enchilada...uh, hamberder). Next in line is Pres. Pro Tem of the Senate. That would be Chuck Grassley, who would be only 2/3 through his term. He's no Trump but he's certainly an enabler; and he would likely leave Trump's Cabinet intact. So let's not salivate prematurely. (At least the Pres. vote wouldn't be thrown into the House if fewer than a quorum were sworn in by Jan.3).

Love and back to lurk mode;
Octogirl
p.s. There is a part of me that personally resents the 'Octopussy' T-Shirt mentioned in a meme a bit back. But yeah, it is sort of funny at the same time.....:-)

Life begins for anyone when that individual refuses to be a victim of any delimiting experience: disease, accident, poverty, family pressure, marriage dilemma, neglect. Whatever the curse, if you will not take it, or accept the role fate seems to offer, you can never become a mental cripple and nothing can hold you back.

Loved all those great entries. Also Octogirl's 3 minute message of the Trump/WH devastation which they all see I'm sure as nearly perfect.

This is so true. He has made these people likely more eager than ever to get him in a coke hold for sure.

Apparently some of the dummies have one or 2 brain cells. We had a heat advisory yesterday, the feels like temp was 110, can only imagine what it was on the tarmac. The airport is right on Tampa Bay, that should , normally keep temp down.
Of course traffic was all screwed for his motorcade. DD went out to watch it go by, just block from her house. Not to see him, but the limos, police, choppers, etc. She got video. She said there were a few cheering him, just as many holding up middle fingers. Hers was one. I raised her right.
