Where to donate wigs?

Options

Hi,

Does anyone know where I could donate my used wigs? I'm 15 months out of chemo and ready to just live life with my regrown natural hair. I had a full wig for most of my treatment and then 7 months out of chemo transitioned into a topper wig that clipped into my hair while my top layer grew out. I'm ready to ditch both and would love to donate them!

poised - the hospital where I had my chemo took wig donations & displayed them in the infusion center. Also our battered women's center has a store and I take many things there. I know a lot of places aren't accepting donations right now because of COVID-19 so good luck

The American Cancer Society will take them. If you have a breast cancer non-profit near by, they may as well. Good for you for finishing chemo! Best wishes

    Hello Msphil:

I live in Bryn Mawr and am looking to donate wigs for my friend. Is your hospital local to Philadelphia? If so would you be willing to share which hospital/oncology department you donated yours to? Thank you for any information you have to share.
