I feel this would be so helpful when responding to someone's post. Thank you.

I just highlight the text from the person's post, copy it and paste it in my post, and usually italicize, like this:

"I feel this would be so helpful when responding to someone's post"

Beesie...that's a good idea, but a quote feature usually notifies the poster that someone responded to their post. I don't know, maybe the software breastcancer.org uses isn't capable of that though.

Actually I don't want to be notified. I don't want to have BCO intrude into the rest of my life. Those conversations that I want to continue, I add to my favorites. Otherwise I just check 'active' threads from time to time. And I do copy & paste like Beesie.

Well then leave the notification feature off...or opt out of notifications.

I agree that the quote feature to reply would be excellent. Without it, long or fast moving threads become.hard to follow wrt who is responding to whom. Notifications are optional. Php msg boards have been using quote feature for years & years. BCO just always seems behind the times in terms of user features
