Pain associated with silicon rupture

Sooooo...It's been 2 and a half years and I'm back! I have been experiencing some concerning symptoms over the last couple weeks. Wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar? Quick recap, I had a double mastectomy with direct to implant for DCIS in Nov. of 2017 and went with silicone implants. Everything has been amazing until a couple weeks ago. I have been working out more than usual since there wasn't a whole lot else to do during Covid so there were times here and there that I felt like I was more sore than usual and always on the cancer side. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago where suddenly the cancer side was achey, sore, tight, hurt to wear a sports bra. Slight aching down the arm and around to my back. Went to a lakehouse last weekend, put on a bikini on and noticed a spot that was more concave than I remember. Made an appt with my GYN and saw her yesterday. Her immediate concern is a rupture of the implant. There is no lump just one swollen lymph node on the outer side of implant where pain is and some additional scarring that she could feel underneath. Basically right side is smooth but cancer side feels lumpy where I'm experiencing pain. She did bloodwork, that was all normal and MRI is scheduled for next Tuesday. Wondering if anyone else has experienced these kind of symptoms and what it ended up being.
Thanks in advance!

MB - I'm assuming you have cohesive gel implants? I had a lump by my collar bone when I went for my two years check up after BMX for DCIS. My MO said - well maybe silicone. I said - well let's do an ultrasound right now/today/immediately. Unfortunately mine was a local recurrence to a lymph node - but by getting the ULS immediately, I was able to move forward w/o waiting for an MRI.
I sincerely hope yours is a silicone leak. Oh that sounds horrible, but better than a new cancer. Do let us know.

MinusTwo - I agree that if it's just a rupture I'll be happy with that. There's a false sense of security when you do a BMX for DCIS. I believe I have Allergan Natrelle silicone implants. There's no lump, at least not one that me or my GYN could feel anywhere and my skin is pretty taut. But, something is definitely not right. The pain had been intermittent but got super intense within days. I think not finding a lump just some lumpiness around the implant was the reason for no ultrasound. Will keep you posted, hope you're doing well!
