Neuropathy

hello,

I am new to the forum. I was wondering if anyone has had neuropathy from radiation? I also have lupus and other autoimmune issues. It started in my feet last week, and has accelerated to feet and legs. It's hard to sleep through the night. Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks in advance,

Lyric

Lyric, usually neuropathy problems from radiation only occur in the area that was actually radiated, like your axilla. Did you do chemo, or are you on hormone therapy? Those treatments are systemic and are more likely to cause problems in the extremities. Either way, I'd definitely check in with your doctors about it. I hope you find some answers soon.

I have neuropathy from Chemo. Several of the drugs are known to cause neuropathy. As Button's says, do check with your oncologist. From radiation, I got additional problems with lymphadema.

BTW - there are LOTS of threads about neuropathy on BCO. You can use the "search" feature to the left.
