Anyone finding New Recommended For You feature useless?

MinusTwo, sorry if I offended you. I didn't mean anything other than when the "recommended sites" are shown to new arrivals as the three in the illustration I posted, the thread will display the last person posting to that thread. As was the case today, one of the recommended threads posted showed your name. Glad you can block all other ads! What ad blocker do you use? I, too, want to help others with questions, and am always aware that any post I make is public and becomes searchable by Google and other similar tools. Makes answering specific questions a little difficult at times as I try to leave little personally identifiable data to track. Unfortunately, it appears that in the last few years too many people have already left these once very busy threads!

I'm thinking that not everyone has the privilege of having that kind of computer assistance. I don't think it is ok for BCO to target the less computer sophisticated (me) with ads from drug companies that sell cancer therapies. Pfizer cancer drugs are too numerous to mention here so I suspect the BCO is paid handsomely so that those ads can target cancer patients.

Sorry all. In this case, I have no idea why I don’t get the ads. I didn’t do anything to block them that I know of.

Ceanna - no worries. I'm not offended. I'm using a desktop computer so that may be one reason I don't get ads. I'm not sure what is installed on my system, but I'll email my son. Like MagicLight - I'm not a computer guru and am grateful when my son visits every year & updates my stuff.
