Hi Ladies, I had TNBC Stage 1 in 2016 and I am now dealing with a recurrence! I had b/l mastectomy and chemo A/C , now have a mass in my chest wall and axilla area. Had a PET today and and having axilla biopsy next week. Oh also something questionable on my adrenal, will have MRI to r/o mets. Is there anyone out there who has had a similar experience with post mastectomy chest wall or axilla recurrence? If so, how was it treated? I'm scared to death!

Cookie54, I am so sorry about your recurrence. I know this is all so scary and unfair. The only thing I can offer is a friend of mine, also TNBC, after 7 years of NED discovered mets to her bones. It has been treatable and three years later she is still stable. I hope someone else can give you more information about your particular recurrence.

Awww thx, so appreciate it! I have been a fan of this site since 2016, the support is wonderful! I am blessed to have lots of support from family and friends. But this time around I felt it would be a help to join the group of people who have been there! I think I will feel a little better after my mri if there are no mets in the abdomen.

Thank God no mets to abdomen! So it is a loco/regional recurrence in chest wall and axilla with nodes. Starting gem/carbo and Keytruda tomorrow. Surgery and rad tx to follow in a couple months. Praying I get a good response with chemo and immuno tx with minimal side effects. As I have always said this journey is not for the weak.Every person on here has had to take this journey and are all amazing strong women! God bless all. Thanks for your well wishes.
