    dear Nancy

so sorry you are having to join us here but you will get lots of wonderful advice and support from all the ladies here.

I too was diagnosed with mixed lobular and ductal..i don't actually know the significance of being mixed but overall just want to say that although lobular is less common than ductal it is perfectly treatable.

make sure you get a good Oncologist and team that you feel confident in and tgey will guide you thru your treatment. we are here for any questions you need to ask or support.

it is a scarey time but the fear does get less over time and especially when you realise you are NOT along.

stay strong and come in here any time you need help. ❤

Yes, I also had this. It is sometimes called IDC with Lobular features. Sometimes called mixed. This type often involves a lymph node for some strange reason that is not understood. I have read studies that say it is less likely to spread to other parts of the body. Pretty much treated the same as IDC. Best wishes! Happy to answer any questions, if I can.

I was diagnosed with IDC, but my lobular was In Situ, meaning it was still pretty much contained and hadn't spread. I was 31 at the time. Let me know if you have any questions...it's scary at any age, but as a young mother of 3, I was certainly concerned. Just know, treatments have improved vastly for the BC world and positive outcomes are very common!

Originally diagnosed with IDC. After surgery pathology said ILC with LCIS and DCIS all in a 9mm area. I was 51 at the time, premenopausal.

Feel comfortable with whom you are putting your trust in and feel comfortable with your decisions. You will get through this.
