Recomendations for plastic surgeon doctors in Houston area
Hello ladies,
So I am in a bit of a dilemma. I had a double mastectomy back in 2017 and used a male PS that my doctor recommended. I had TE's then implants put in. I was not happy with how small I was, nor was I happy with the doctor because he did not really listen to my concerns and was very arrogant. I then switched to a female doctor - again recommended by my oncologist and she did my first revision work and I it was okay, she did some fat grafting and made nipples (which are too big but oh well). I then had the areola tattoo done by someone else - which looks amazing and real. So this was done over a year ago. My breasts have "settled" and I am still not happy. I have feel like I have an extra boob under my armpit on one side and on the other side, my skin is all scrunched together. I had a follow up with the female PS yesterday and she basically made me feel like my breasts were as good as it was going to get and that there was not really too much she could do. It was almost like I should just be happy I have some sort of breasts and if they look okay in clothes, who cares. Well I am sorry but I don't feel that way. I am only 43 and still young and I had really nice boobs before and they were large (D cup) which fit my big boned body. Now I barely fill a B cup and barely have any cleavage, and I think they look like franken boobs. My nipple area is the only thing I do like lol. So...I am thinking of looking for ANOTHER PS again for a 2nd opinion. I know I am lucky to be alive and lucky they could reconstruct my breasts and all that BUT aren't I allowed to look as good as possible? I mean, can't they suck that fat out from under my arm by that implant to make it look like a real round boob instead of just a blob? Can't they put that extra fat into that other boob that is all shriveled up? Honestly, I am even thinking of just removing these implants and starting over AND not having them under the muscles. I hate the way they look when I use my pecs or whatever anyways. I also do believe I can get larger, maybe rounder implants. I believe I have silicone teardrop gummies or something like that. So if any of you live in the Houston area and love your PS, I am looking for recommendations for a second opinion I would also like to hear your experiences as well. Thanks so much for listening to my rant, but I think with everything we have gone through, we should be able to have our breasts look as good as possible and not just "settle" for frankenboobs!
Amy

What hospital system have you been working with? Curious incase it needs to be in the same system.

I went to Methodist Institute for Reconstructive Surgery in the Medical Center. My PS was Jeff Friedman and he did a fantastic job, but I've also heard really great things about Aldona Spigel.
