How to figure out bra size?

Hi everybody. I’m going through reconstruction and I’m trying to determine bra size. I’ve looked up calculators online and I have gotten results from 34D or 38AA....That is really crazy. My underbust is 34” and my bust is 38”. The main difference between a lot of these calculators is that some of them say you need to add 4 or 5to your underbust measurement to get the band size while others say the band size is the same as the underbust measurement.

    Danee - it's really very difficult to do this alone. Nordstroms has fitters trained with breast reconstruction. You just have to call & make an appointment. Or most cities have stores with supplies & bras for mastectomy patients. If you read some of the link below (bras 101) you'll see most of us were wearing the wrong size all our lives. And that the band definitely has to be tighter than we would have guessed.
