Follow up on biopsy

Hello everyone,

I had my biopsy in Oct 19 and results came back benign. So thankful! I just had my six month follow up and everything came back clear and they again labeled me with heterogeneously dense breast. Not uncommon so I will continue with my annuals as advised. When I was having the mammo and ultrasound, I received a call from the office of the doctor that did my biopsy, to review my results. I didn’t call back because radiologist on sight said the results were fine and to have my annual mammogram and they would send a letter to my chart with the details.

I don’t see any reason to follow up with the specialist if my report is good. Am I wrong to think this?

    Have you seen your follow up report? Maybe the specialist wants to see you for a physical exam, or at least see if you have any questions. I would follow up. Then at least you will really know why they called you that day.
