I am worried about lump in armpit I just found. Last year in Jan 2019 for another issue (which was b9) I had diagnostic mammo and us, mri and in Sept 2019 reg screening mammo and us. Is it possible to have something serious now with all that screening? Have dr appt today just looking for encouragement. thx

Hi Lm, lumps can be worrisome and they can appear out of "nowhere". If you just found it, you might want to make an appointment to have it checked. If it takes a few weeks to get an appointment, you can monitor the lump. If it goes away, you can cancel the appointment, but if not, you can have it looked at by your MD. I do remember one lump I found in my armpit, years ago. I made an appointment and got in that same day. By the time of the appointment, the lump had disappeared. I was kind of embarrassed to have even made the appointment, but my doctor was really nice about it.

If the lump is still there when you have your appointment, don't feel bad about asking for an US. Lumps that don't go away are a little more concerning.

    Keep us informed.

Thanks. I do have an appt to today. I gave it a week to go away but unfortunately it wasnt. That's why I am so worried. Praying it's not serious.

Thank you for reaching out. Went for US it is a sebaceous cyst. At 59 I was very concerned. Prayers to all on this group.

LM60, I was getting them in my axilla fairly frequently and sometimes they really hurt. I finally switched from the creamy stick antiperspirants back to Ban roll-on and haven’t had one since.
