Hi all

I have not had any pain at all. Mets all through spine and some on pelvis. I am newly diagnosed feb 2020. The pain has me so scared because I always associate that w very negative thoughts. My Oncologist said this can get worse before get better? Said it can mean treatment is working. Made me feel so much better but then he added or could mean spreading. :-( I want to just focus on “means it’s working”. I’m in tears here because I have a 5 year old

Please any positive stories where you had pain and found out treatment worked and either tumours shrinking or NEAD? Pls. Begging for replies to help ease my mind a bit huge thank you in advance. Xox

I'm sorry you're having pain. I know that when we're first diagnosed, any pain - big or small - can be terrifying as we assume the worst. Those worrisome little pains usually go away, at least they did for me. Continued pain is worth having a chat with your MO.

My RO did tell me that I may have some increased TEMPORARY pain from the radiation to my spine and hip, due to the inflammation caused by the radiation. I'm so glad he told me that. The pain I have from the bone mets has been pretty stable. My radiation was palliative. I had three sessions to my spine and hip and then ten sessions to my femur.

Wishing you the very best with your treatments.
