I have learned recently that i have 2 new liver lesions, very small, but still there.

I will start radiation treatment next week, 5 treatments, with a general success rate of over 90 %.

My Onc and me are very hopeful that this will do a good job.

However, as stage 4, like every one, I need to be after on maintnacne therapy. I was first diagnosed 12 years ago, stage 4 since almost 9 years, never lost my hair in those 9 years. :)

Anyhow, I have used pretty much ALL hormone therapies, chemo pills, the list is too long to name here all.

My Oncologist has difficulties finding new drugs after radiation, for me ( Estrogene+ Pro+ Her-) since most of the new drugs are used ONLY as first line treatment, meaning for women who never has simular hormone or chemo drugs before. So, no good for me, since I had sooooo many used up the last 9 years.

Any suggestions, new drugs for people who had many drugs before,

    any advice ?

Please .......I could need some help, some suggestions, some help.

    Thanks

    Carol

    Hi Carol

I have been dx metastatic since 2014, not as long as you but I have been through multiple treatments. Did you have a foundation one genetics study of a tumor? This would seen if you have a genetic mutation that would qualify you to take piqray. It also provides other valuable information about the genetic makeup of tumors. I have just started Piqray and it is an oral meds. My hair is thinning but not lost. There is a piqray thread on this site. I hope this is helpful. Good luck to you. My MO did tell me the next step after piqray will be infusion chemo, but I think I will search for a clinical trial first.

Just saw you are from Canada. Is this available in Canada? Let me know.

    Good luck to you

    Peace

    Mary

Before they zap your liver tumors. are they big enough to biopsy for genetic testing?

Have you been on Xeloda? Can you list what treatments you are on?
