Hi,

My mom recently got diagnosed with Breast Cancer and we are waiting for her biopsy result which is fustrating.

She has inverted nipple on left breast and little pain in her tumar. Doctors also found very small like peanut nodes on her neck however those are not painful for her. She had swollen breast 5 days ago and she misunderstood that symptom because of her periods.

She had that tumar from last 4/5 months but at that time doctor said that its normal and it is because of fat or harmon and suggested some pills which actually reduced shape of that tumor.

I am just wondering if anyone has simmilar symptoms and help me understand if this is last stage or what.

Please help me. I am so worried for my mom.

Once she has the biopsy results from her tumor, please post the findings from that. Not knowing anything specific like the type of breast cancer makes it difficult to answer. Did they say it's definitely breast cancer? It can be suspicious before a biopsy, but not definite.

Sure. I will post result. My mom had mammogram and doctor found tumar on her breast and on her neck which very small that peanut and thats how they found its cancer. They asked her to do biopsy to see the spread of it and if required more tests need to be done.

      Hello,

Biopsies of breast tumors are not to see if the cancer has spread. They are used to determine if the tumor is indeed cancer and give info on the tumor’s hormone profile. Spread, or metastasis, is found in several possible ways. These include imaging that an mo might do or imaging done if a patient has symptoms. If the imaging suggests cancer, then that area is biopsied for confirmation (due to location not all areas of the body can be biopsied ). Breast cancer has an amazing number of variables and until those are known, not much can be said about possible treatment. All the best.
