May Surgery just delayed....

I called the surgeon's scheduler earlier today as my surgery is scheduled for May 11(less than two weeks) in order to see if things were still standing for that date. She said yes to her knowledge. Thirty minutes ago, my BS called me personally and shared that she has been in meetings much of today to discuss re-opening of the operating rooms, etc. She more or less asked me if I was willing to delay my own surgery by a couple of weeks(three max) in order to accommodate those whose March and April surgeries have been delayed. I could not imagine saying no, so of course I said yes. She said I am 8th in line and surgery should occur by first week of June. Sooo....the positive is that covid19 "should" be more settled and hospitals here in Michy should be a bit more 'normal', hopefully the virus numbers will continue to decline, making being in the hospital a bit safer, and well, what can I really do?

I am on anastrozole already, finally up to every day, and it's going ok. Sometimes I feel really lousy, some horrific aches and pains, some morning chills, some headachy-ness, definitely insomnia, but I am taking lots of supplements now and I *think* my body is adjusting.

I was on a mission this week, ordering pillows, bras, lotion, cold ice packs, etc for upcoming surgery. I guess I'll be even more prepared. My adult son has offered to paint my entranceway and upstairs hallway, soo....maybe get a little more 'done' around the house as well.

I was feeling anxious and even excited to have that date upcoming, one more step in my journey. I believe God has a plan for all of this, and the woman(women) who have surgery on May 11 will receive what they need on that day. (Doc said if after talking to patients before me, of course if they say no to May 11, I will have surgery on that date-the first date the hospital is performing these kinds of surgeries....)
