Been here before

Hello everyone I have been here before. With all the virus scare I could not get an appointment to see my GYN until May.
I am still very scared that I found a hard, lumpy area in my breast that feels like a bunch of BB's or peas when I lay down to check my breast. I don't have a real lump. Just a large lumpy area and my breast is firmer than the other one. The other one is lumpy too just not near as lumpy as my right one. And I have a small dent in the bottom of my right breast.I know no one can diagnose on here and i don't expect anyone to. But if you have had similar symptoms and I would appreciate anyone's stories. It actually helps me. And with having two weeks until my appointment when I found this the first of March has been very stressful.
So anything you can help me with would be great
sorry for rambling! I am just nervous.

Hi LoverofJesus, I'm sorry you're back here. My lumps were both big - at least that's how they felt to me. Waiting is so hard right now. Do you have an option of being wait-listed for an earlier appointment? Some clinics/doctors offer that.
Ramble and rant all you want. You're safe here.
Wishing you peace in these troubling times.

So sorry you are here again. Waiting is the worst. I don’t wait well at all for anything! I can’t relate to your symptoms however, because I never felt the lump. My BC was discovered on a mammogram because one breast was larger than the other. Other than losing weight quickly which I thought was due to my cutting out sugar, I had no visible signs.
While your symptoms sound suspicious try not to imagine the worst. I know nearly impossible to do.
I would do as Sunshine suggested see if you can get an earlier appointment.
Keep the faith and keep us posted.

Thank you all for replying. I actually have noticed my entire breast feels hard and knotty. It’s not just one area. When I Lay down it’s all over my entire breast. When the tissue spreads out it feels like little peas and tiny beads all over my breast. Like I said it is not just in one area. And the other breast has them too just not near as many.
Has anyone else had that???

What you describe sounds like fibrocystic breasts, which is actually perfectly normal, since about 60% of women have fibrocystic breasts. But some have only mild symptoms while others have lumpy ropey painful breasts. My breasts were painful and full of lumps from the time I was a teenager until after menopause.

Hopefully that's all that this is.

Ok so one more question when you had fibrocystic breasts in the breast that has the most bumps, when I sit up it all feels hard and knotty and firm and when i lay down it feels lumpy all over still firmer than the other breast but little lumps all in it. Not just in one area. Is that what you had? And yes it sometimes hurts but so does the other breast. And the other breast has a few lumps scattered throughout just not as many so it doesn’t feel as firm because there is not as many I and curious to know this is what you had. I have always had that breast be more like that than the other but the older I have gotten the more it has gotten that way. And I’m sure I’m going through menopause and this has likely affected it too. Just want your thoughts since you had it till you finished menopause

Fibrocystic breasts present differently for everyone. And for each individual, her fibrocystic breasts may change over time. If you read the links, you can see that it can be cumulative, worsening over time as your body has had more exposure to estrogen. If you are in peri-menopause now, your hormones are fluctuating as much as a teenager, and that too is a reason why this might worsen now. In my case it was when I entered peri-menopause that I started to develop cysts and over those years I had more cysts than I could count.
My breasts were not as sore after menopause, but I continued to develop cysts. That's somewhat unusual but I have several friends who've had the same experience. There is no one who can say what will happen in your case. Everyone's experience is difference. What's most important is that you find out if this is in fact fibrocystic breast condition.
