Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us ShetlandPony. Since my diagnose is same as yours, ILC in August 2019, I got the same suggestion of tamoxifen and nothing else. The reason I refused tamoxifen is that my Mom had blood clot when she had a surgery and I was afraid of this side effect Tamoxifen has. I mean, even today in major and reputable cancer centers, they still recommend tamoxifen and no chemo or radiation in early stages of ILC. Then I heard from MO that suggested tamoxifen (actually all 4 MO I did consult suggested Tamoxifen) that OS+Letrozole may work better. I still have one regret that I did not request radiation on the side of cancer since two of my nodes were positive, one in sn group and the other was axillary node that accidentally the surgeon grabbed it and it had ITC.

I do have a question for you, how did you figure out that ILC has spread to other parts of the body? Also, my MO is recommending me to use Bisphosphonates 2xyear for 3 years to protect my bones from metastases. Do you think it is worth it? I do need to have a tooth removed and other dental work that can't be done if I take bisphosphonates.

    Thank you so much ShetlandPony.
