strange pains in breast area (one has been removed)

Options

3 years after right mastectomy which was DCIS I had a mammogram in late September. i have had "pain" like I used to get per-menstruation but im well into menopause. I also have reoccurring pain in the upper arm between the shoulder and elbow. I have a cough, back pain in the middle of back on both sides. I'm 55, but nothing showed on mammogram but dense breast tissue which I've known. there is no dimpling, redness, swelling, or inversion of nipple, just the feeling that "something's not right". I had bloodwork done in Feb. this year but it was clear. Curious is anyone has had these symptoms and what it might be

I am wondering if when they did the mastectomy, some nerves were a bit disrupted. I had a surgical biopsy on my non cancer side a couple years before my cancer. Ironically, more nerve damage happened then than from my BMX. I still have areas of numbness on the back of my left upper arm. Sometimes the area itches, and sometimes it throbs...yet I cannot feel when I scratch it. I think it all has to do with the nerve damage. I do not know if this happened in your case, but it is a possibility with mastectomy.

I'm 13 years out and I still occasionally get tingling or short "jabs" (I did a bmx and I've had this happen to both sides). I notice when I exercise more, it is more pronounced so I am assuming more blood flow which helps nerves regenerate. Just my theory.
