Is it normal to have redness, sometimes light purple color blush more apparent at night or evenings, then during the mornings/day? Thank you in advance.

I’m not sure I understand what you are asking. Exactly what is going on? You think your breasts look like they are a different color at night then in the mornings? If you don’t mind saying, how old are you?

It sounds like a difference in lighting, between daylight and artificial light.

My breasts's blush look lighter in tone in the mornings and during the day, as suppose to evenings/nights. What i am saying, they have same color of the blush, which is on the red spectrum- pink in the mornings/day; but as hours of the day go by, that tone ( pink ) changing into clearly red and often, which happens usually at night into light purple bruise like appearance. I am 47. It worries me , that it can be IBC . I do not think the color changing in tone and sometimes purple blush appearing is just a difference in lightning during the natural light and artificial light. I looked at myself outside of the house, in my garden in private half naked and also inside the house during the day and also inside the house at night, often my DH saw my breasts rush in all those places and at various time of the day/night. And he is in fact was first who saw this "bruise". When it is pink, it is pink in a natural light in a garden and it is also pink blush inside the house, if i switch on artificial light in a morning/ first hours of the day. So i do not think it is a light difference. I wanted to know if anybody has or heard of anything like this. My 2 Dr.'s, that i saw (both GP's ) i think met only me with such symptoms, which are coming in waves. They do not know why in "waves". I am really worried as i have these blushes for about 2-3 moths minimum and i did not looked at myself at all for such a long time, i could have had this blush for months already and that i can pass away very soon. Thank you for reading and i am waiting for your answers on what do you thing it could be.

It is almost unheard of to have IBC in both breasts. I think there have been only1 or 2 written up in medical journals.

I don't know what is causing what you describe as blush is but id does not sound like IBC. Do you have large breasts? Could this be heat related?

Why do you think you could pass away soon?

In my case the left breast is much more affected, then right one. Also the left breast started to show the blush and "the bruise" first before the right breast. Days/weeks later the right one appeared to show similar "display" of redness. They are not the same. The left also looks bigger, then the right one. Now the right one is picking up. My both breasts has been the same size all my life until now. Now my breasts are different. I read about IBC, it said there , that usually the left breast that is effected in many cases. And i have the left one affected the most. The other one is started to catch up as well. Even if it is rare to have 2 breasts affected eventually, it does not mean it can not happen. In my life i have had and still have some rare ills/disorders, so i no longer think that i am exempt from a rare illness.

I have big breasts now, as i am bigger on a whole, since i put on a lot of weight. I am 2-3 sizes overweight, then when i was some years back. But symptoms appeared in the past last months. It is not heat related. How do i know? Because i do not live in hot/ warm country, i live rather in a cold, chilly, damp, rainy most of the year country. I do not wear a bra, i love freedom from bra, bra can create red lines on a skin and fungus can develop. Also i tried given by Dr. antibiotic and steroid and anti fungal cream and also for many skin conditions other cream, given by another Dr.. None of those were useful to me, did not help. Rush from heat is normally from fungus, i had that many years ago, when i wore a bra just for exercising and then, when i used anti fungal cream on that rush, it helped, cos it was from a heat, generated inside of the bra, while getting hot and sweaty, when cycling. This time it is different and i am afraid sinister.

I am afraid to pass away soon, cos i read IBC is fatal, no cure, everyone dyes and nobody recovers and this illness progresses rapidly on daily/weekly basis . If not treated life expectancy only weeks or months to live. And i am not treated and so far breast cancer specialist did not call me to see me for even first consultation. I only saw GPs.. I also read a sign of aggressive breast cancer is antibiotics did not resolved the symptoms. And in my case they did not resolve the rush. In fact it is getting worst weekly. I also saw that my areola' shape of the nipple of the left breast became disfigured and in the past 3 days the areola of the right one is becoming disfigured as well.

I think the oncologist does not want to call to make arrangement, cos of coronavirus, even though he suppose to call me since i received a letter' copy from my GP.. I am actually thinking that i can die very soon, just waiting for proper diagnosis and all the treatments.

I tried to find out what else it could be, if not IBC, i read many sites with various breast conditions and cancers described out there and at the end came back to IBC, as it is most fit my descriptions of the symptoms. I would really like to know what else could it be, if not IBC.

Thank you for reading my post.

Your topic name of "waves" is not going to get you many knowledgeable answers. I'd suggest that you go to the index and look up the section on IBC, then post in that area since the people there have been through IBC and can answer your questions better based on their own experiences. Good luck and stay away from Google.

IBC symptoms wouldn't typically come and go in waves over the course of many months (you said it's been going for a minimum of 3 months). Typically once symptoms start, they get drastically worse, often quite rapidly (over days, weeks). It also sounds like you don't have any of the other typical IBC symptoms. Dr. Google likes to make everyone think they are about to die any minute.

I don't know what country you are in and the status of your healthcare system, in most parts of the US it is difficult to see a doctor in person right now for any non-urgent need. Oncologists here usually only treat people after they have been diagnosed with cancer (usually detected on a mammogram and confirmed with a biopsy) and right now they are only seeing those with the most urgent needs. Even people with Stage IV cancers who are currently stable are having their chemo postponed, so I'm not surprised that you have been unable to get an appointment with an oncologist without a cancer diagnosis. It sounds like instead of referring you for breast imaging such as mammogram or MRI, your GP referred you to an oncologist?

Perhaps you should consider seeing a dermatologist if you can get an appointment? If the dermatologist agrees that it could be IBC, they could perform a skin punch biopsy.

I actually read that in IBC symptoms CAN come and go. I have these symptoms for min 2 months, but i it may have been going on even longer, cos i did not look at myself for so long. I only discovered it ,cos my hubby was surprised to see it on my breasts. Until then i very rarely looked at myself in a mirror. My symptoms do not change monthly, they change weekly. I see changes every week, that passes by, that 's why it is scary.

I understood by listening on our tube video to IBC breast care specialist in USA , that i IBS typically has no lump, no pain, but a reddish blush and sometimes bruise like appearance, symptoms progressing rapidly -daily or weekly; mine seems weekly - i am in a shock. And what she described is fits my definition of those symptoms . You do not have to have other symptoms to have IBC, that's why it is called a silent killer.

That's why i think have it, but still hope not and also it is not a mastitis,i never breastfed, no full term pregnancy. 1 of high risks for IBC : fewer or no pregnancy-that's me

Thing is- i already tried antibiotic/steroid cream , which did not help. On internet says if it does not, it could be IBC. I tried also cream for many skin conditions, not helped either. GP's gave me those creams. What is the point to go to dermatologist? Dermatologist just will give me creams that i already did and did not work. Is it only dermatologist can lead you to punch biopsy, mammogram / ultrasound? Thank you in advance for you replays.

happykitty - as others have said, although maybe in a nicer way - STAY OFF Dr. Google. He is not a doctor. It's unlikely you have IBC. If you can talk to your OB/Gyn - that's what makes sense.

Dermatologists perform punch biopsies, which is mainly how IBC is diagnosed. And if you read LoriCA's information, she actually is an IBC patient, and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. You have been told several times that Google is crap when in comes to medical stuff, so please do not quote it here when someone like LoriCA who has been through it is trying to help you.
