I am a breast cancer patient. Who was taking suboxen before getting diagnosed with breast cancer stopped taking suboxen. To get on pain medication for the pain. Its going to be a year in August that i have been diagnosed. I got tired or don't have an idea on how tell the dr that the pain medication isnt working. So i saw my suboxen dr and got back on suboxen. My question to everyone is this a safe for a cancer patient to do this.

    hello,
I have no personal experience with suboxone. It does have pain killing properties but that is not it's main use. Did you tell the doctor who provides your suboxone that you are being treated for breast cancer? What about your oncologist? They would be the best people to ask and you should definitely make your bc and suboxone use known to both doctors. Please be honest with all of your doctors, even if certain things are difficult to bring up. Remember most doctors have heard it all and then some!We all have breast cancer and far more contact with doctors than we ever wanted but we are not doctors. Wishing you the best.
