Candy, I am hopeful a vaccine will prevent everybody getting and either surviving or dying of covid. We do have good care and are socially distancing that will make a difference. It also would not surprise me if orders go out that everyone must be masked in public to contain the infection and sneezes. I think we will be OK, but we will be indoors for the forseeable future. I can see a vaccine being given every year with a flu shot if different strains show themselves as well. We will see.

dogs were up and awake at the crack of dawn. Yuck. I guess they are breathlessly awaiting my choice of make up colors today for sure. Lol. Nothing like a quick loud bellow to get your MBC body moving. It’s sunny. Yay!!!!! Maybe I’ll walk to the mailbox later. But now the pollen is all Over my vehicle. So that doesn’t help anything. Allergies. Big day shower day. When I get to see the destruction that occurred to my body. One in which I’d like to forget. And on we go. Another day! Hugs to all and in pocket for any scans or testing...

Hello to all. So thought I'd just pass along this interesting development. I had an appointment at Hopkins next Monday for a blood draw and also for faslodex injections (the shots in the butt). Just got a call from them. They are rescheduling me to Wednesday, and because of new COVID 19 restrictions (Baltimore has a ton of cases) I am to pull into the circle outside the cancer building, with a mask on, turn off my car, put my brake on, and wait for a staff person to come out. At that time, someone will come out and take my blood. Here's the funny part -- the message (which I called back to clarify) said that my "nurse visit," which consists of my faslodex shots, would take place afterwards. So I called back and asked: not for anything, and I really don't care at this point in time, but can you tell me how the nurse is going to give me the shots in my butt if I'm in my car? Answer: someone will come out and escort you into a private space in the building for your shots. My question is that if they are taking me into the building anyway, why the heck don't they just do both things when I'm in the building? Seems like it would make more sense.

As I said, I didn't care if they didn't care (I mean, come on, it's at the very top of your butt that they do the shots, so it's not like you're being an exhibitionist) but this is too funny. I had visions of trying to hoist my backside off of the seat so that they could do the shots.

Micmel, I have allergies too. Seems since radiation it takes very little to anger my lung. I have this annoying, pointless, dry cough. Constantly. Now I'm scared if I cough in public someone will shoot me or at the very least, punch me. My antihistamine works for a few hours. Even though it says it's a 24 hour tablet, it isn't.

Nothing here--same old same old. Laundry today. Made out bills to put in outside mailbox for the postman to pick up. One day just melds into another.

BevJen- Hahahaha to your story about your Faslodex shots. I get Lupron monthly. I too wondered how to social distance for a shot. Maybe the nurse throws from 6 feet away, like a dart. Haha. Really, I had the monthly shot in March and they flushed my Port too. We shall see how the April appointment goes. And I am due for my scans in May. Hope they allow me to have them. Looks like we are going to be doing social distancing and the such for many months, so I hope they don't cancel the scan. I want to keep my regular schedule for scans.

Runor~My nose won’t stop running. It’s annoying as hell. Especially now. Omg symptoms? Um no allergies. Don’t kill me. I won’t cough in public. I’ll hold it. Get the stink eye if you do.

Santa~ I agree it would be a good mask. I saw on tv they are going crazy with printing crazy designs and characters on the masks. For personality. Some were really creative. Ten bucks a mask then they donate one to a health worker.

Okay, so I FINALLY have some good news to report. My CT scan on Monday showed that I am....wait for it...

S T A B L E!!!! Whoopeeeeeee!

Several nodules in my lungs have increased in size, but she's pretty sure it’s the Sarcoidosis, and not cancer (had a broncoscopy last year; 3 lung nodules tested showed Sarcoidosis only). She agreed that, given our current climate with COVID-19, I should stop the Abraxane. Onc is going to talk to my Pulmonologist and have her put me back on Methotrexate to get the lungs to settle down. I don’t need to see her (Onc) until July. So you can imagine I am a very happy camper right now. Time to start growing some hair!!

Silver linings. That’s what I think we need to do every single day. Look for the silver linings. They are there if you look for them. People helping people. Good scans. No (or less) pain. Good food. Etc., etc. It’s a beautiful thing.

I texted her yesterday, she's tired and fatigued. She's a very active person and her not being able to be active is really bothering her. She's what we say in a lil funk per say. She said she thinks of us all daily. I told her to take care of her and we love her

Sondra, I saw the story about the man walking his yard to raise funds for NHS, good for him. Glad he blew past his goal and glad to see the money raised. Amazing what people can do, even in lockdown. That is awesome.

I have been lazy here too. Laundry of course, amazon delivery and watched my soap and disneyplus. No exercise today. Most likely tomorrow. We will see. I did order in some lunch as well because I earned enough off my penny sites for it to be free which was nice. It was really good. Burger, onion rings and a pepsi. Simple but good. I did manage to discolour some white hankies when mixed them with black, not intentionally but did not see them in the washer so am in process of either using my oxy clean to whiten for a few hours or use my bleach, which I do not like, but want white hankies, not blue. We'll see how they go. Makes me happy having to solve little problems around the house.

I’ve been swimming at home. Water is cold we don’t have a heater but the walking is scary for me dizziness, neuropathy, and back issues. Anyway nothing like the olympics but I’m moving.

BevJen are you old enough to remember mooning? In the 70’s people used to stick their rear ends out a car window and moon a bus or toll taker. So there our shots could be given at the drive through.

SantaBarbarian can someone else give us updates and narration for curfew, distancing, masks, etc. like infomercials with pets or kids?
