Small bump near mastectomy scar

Hi everyone! I had a BMX on Feb. 11. Today I noticed a small sesame seed sized bump about a quarter of an inch from my scar on the cancer side. I've read about some people getting mets to the skin after mastectomy. Anyone with similar stories? Who should I call, my PCP, MO, or BS? Thanks!

Call your breast doctor and tell them you have a new palpable mass. They'll probably want to do an ultrasound and maybe a biopsy. I went through this hell earlier this year. It felt just like cancer, they said it was a complex cyst, but after biopsy I think ended up being stromal tissue of some kind, not sure.. but benign. Don't freak out too much, it's likely something else, but get it checked out to be sure.

The bump I have is on top of the skin. Like a tiny flesh colored mole. It wasn't there immediately after surgery. It's brand new. I called and left a message for the nurse at the BS office. We shall see...

Get it checked out. Mine turned out to be a local recurrence. i had a mammogram, ultrasound, biopsy and lumpectomy. i think things are under control for now.

The nurse said watch it for a week to make sure it's not a little pimple (I'm positive it's not). She said call back next Thursday and if it's still there she'll make me an appt with the surgeon. I'm going to show my MO tomorrow also and see what he says. I'm worried about mets to the skin since it's on top of my skin, not under the skin. Everything freaks me out these days! Thanks for your replies!
