The Next Person Game
Comments

if interesting means throwing stuff you have on hand together.....true
the next person did buy some Easter candy
-
Nope, haven't been to the grocery store since this all started.
The next person has cravings that can't be fixed by things left in their cupboards--I'm now eyeballing a can of chocolate fudge frosting to get my chocolate fix because I don't have the ingredients to make any sweet to put the frosting on!!! LOL!!!
-
Fudge frosting sounds good! I tried a recipe called Quarantine Cookies with only 3 ingredients; peanutbutter, sugar and an egg. They weren't that good but I was desperate!
The next person spent some time outside today.
-
Only walking to and from the car.
The next person watched some TV today.
-
TV is kind of always on but did I watch it today? Mmmmm.....
Ruthbru, I can relate to the 3 ingredient recipe. I tried making brownies without eggs and subbed almond butter--satisfied my craving for sweet treat, but texture was more like floury fudge than brownie--but tasted okay!!
The next person made a real meal today instead of mining the refrigerator and cupboards--mine was a long roasting beef roast and mixed veggies!! I hope it is as good as it smells cooking!
-
I actually did! And I'm not the cook of the family - DH is. (Lucky me!!) I made stuffed pasta shells. A very simple recipe with ground beef, pasta sauce, cheese, and large shell noodles. DH rolls his eyes like it's beneath him, but the kids love them. Plus, they reheat very easily for leftovers.
The next person does chores stereotypically handled by their spouse. (e.g. My hubby cooks, but I fix the plumbing.)
-
I'm not sure - I pay the bills and do all the paperwork.
The next person is good at paperwork.
-
Can't say I'm good at paperwork--just one of those things I have done all my life--good, bad, indifferent!!
The next person still balances their checking account (I have friends who just let it go and never really know how much they have in their account, or no longer have a checking account!)
-
I do try to balance my bank accounts but I don't have a separate cheque (Australian spelling) account.
The next person is good at managing their money.
-
I’m getting better! All the medical expenses have been an education in money management for me!
The next person has several things blooming in their yard
-
Yes, there are still some roses.
The next person is good at gardening.
-
I've seen a couple of blooms so far, but early for me. (Edited to add) Oops, that was the answer to the previous question, I missed the page turn, but I only have very small, not very successful garden
The next person has allergies to things in the spring.
-
No, thank goodness I don't have seasonal allergies.
I have to answer a previous question. I have to balance my checking accounts every week on payday. I cant stand it if they're even a penny off. Probably all those years in banking caused that! Lol
The next person gets emotional hearing certain songs.
(I just heard a beautiful rendition of "Amazing Grace" on the news that left me teary-eyed.)
-
I occasionally would but not in an expected way.
The next person sings along to music.
-
All the time! My kids and I love Broadway soundtracks and musicals. Once we had been listening to "The Greatest Showman" in the car on the way to the grocery store. We parked in the middle of a song, but kept on singing all the way into grocery. When we finished, we got a round of applause in the produce section.
The next person enjoys theater.
-
Yes, mostly sing along in the car!!
Ocean, yes, wasn't Andrea Bocelli singing Amazing Grace something! I've watched it several times on YouTube.
The next person got groceries this week. I finally gloved and masked up and got some this morning for the first time in 5 weeks of staying at home during COVID.
-
True. I felt like I won the lottery when I got a Walmart pick up yesterday. I checked the app Saturday and there was a spot from Monday 6-7. I would normally never shop that late.
The next person is enjoying the sunshine today
-
I don't think it was very sunny on Tuesday but Wednesday is meant to be the hottest day this week (24C), so I hope it will be sunny.
The next person finds it hard to know what comments and questions to make on this forum sometimes.
-
Yes, definitely. I’ve refrained from answering before because I couldn’t think of something for the next person.
The next person enjoys theater.
-
true
the next person is getting antsy with all the social distancing
-
True. I’m missing my clients at Meals on Wheels and my family.
The next person is running out of ideas for meals to prepare.
-
true, I have not cooked so much in years!
The next person tries to get outside for awhile every day
-
True, often at least walk to my mailbox at end of driveway!
The next person is fairly content while staying at home during the virus. Surprisingly I am! Better safe than sorry!
-
I'm getting a little ansty.
The next person has learned how to use Zoom to get together with friends.
-
Not yet, but I'd like to learn. I used to use Skype.
The next person is good with technology.
-
Yep, used to teach some software but haven't kept as current as what is needed now, although have been on a few Zoom meetings.
The next person enjoys reading outside!
-
I'm not sure, I haven't read outside for years.
The next person likes to sunbake.
-
I used to when I was young, now I am a lot more careful.
the next person has prescription sun glasses
-
Yes I do, old ones.
The next person wears prescription glasses all the time.
-
Hi Aussie!
Yes, I do. I can't see 2 feet in front of me without them. Lol Well, I can but it's nothing but a blur. Lol
The next person had braces on their teeth as a child (or even as an adult).
