Having trouble with gums and mouth with Prolia

Options

I realize this might not be correct board for this question. Maybe someone can point me to right board if no one has had this issue. I had a lumpectomy and radiation in February 2015.
I have been given Prolia shots twice a year and haven’t had any adverse effects however I started having mouth pain 3 months ago and thought it was a cavity however I have been to two different periodontists. The second one mentioned I might have osteocronosis die to Prolia. Can anyone relate to this?

florida - osteonecrosis of the jaw is a side effect of Prolia, but a rare one.

Have they taken X-rays? I mean the kind that goes all around your head & captures all the jaw & bone. If you can't get that done at your periodontist, try an endodontist. That's where I got those pictures taken when no one could figure out the continuing pain after a root canal. Turned out the same tooth had another root canal that wasn't obvious but showed on those films.

Edited to say: BTW - your original subject says gum pain. I don't think gum issues would be related to osteonecrosis of the jaw.

Yes the perio did that and he said it could be ONJ prescribed two antibiotics and a rinse. Nothing has worked for the constant pain. I am going to an endomtist next

Be sure your perio sends copies of the scans to the endo so they don't have to start over. Good luck.
