    I am thinking of having brachytherapy instead of more traditional radiation therapy. I will talk to my radiologist about it (who I have yet to meet because of The Virus.) Has anyone had one of these therapies or thinking about it?

    Hi VeeHow, I had SAVI radiation following lumpectomy for IDC and have been clear now for over 5 years. If you click on the search box in the left hand column, and search the word brachytherapy or specifically for the types of options for brachytherapy you have available, you will find many who have weighed in with the pluses and problems. If you have any specific questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'll add this thread to my "favorites" so I'll see if you post any questions. I hope all the best for whichever treatment you decide.     Thank you for your reply. I already had my lumpectomy. My surgeon told me yesterday my biopsies were sent to another cancer pathology center because they couldn't confirm if my cancer is DCIS or IDC There is such a small area that my pathologists can't confirm it. It might make a difference in the type of radiation I'm a candidate for. See my radiologist next Friday.
