A weird bite/spot?

Hi there. I've had this on my boob since Thursday, so 5 days. It wasn't particularly itchy and slightly sore to touch. Just when I google spot on boob IBC comes up so I'm now worried.

I'm 9.5 weeks pregnant too. Not sure if that makes a difference. Anyone know what it is? I don't want to go to the doctor if it's nothing during these times.

    If you can take a picture of it, perhaps you can email it to your doctor. I think the moderators have asked us not to post pictures on this thread. Best of luck to you and congratulations on your pregnancy!

    Welcome to the BCO community. We are sorry that this change in your breast and the accompanying worry brought you here but glad that you reached out. As noted above BCO does not allow the posting of photos of breast symptoms. Unfortunately googling breast symptoms such as rashes, etc. can often lead one to IBC. We suggest that you not jump to that or any conclusion. Is it possible to set up a telehealth appointment with your doc? He or she may be able to offer you a better idea of what the spot might be and how to treat it. Others here may offer their thoughts. Getting some kind of medical review will certainly help you with the worry.

    Grania - we're discouraged from posting photos of our breasts since whatever you put here can be seen by anyone.

    Dr. Google does a good job of scaring everyone doesn't he. It's unlikely that you have IBC. Conventional wisdom says you should contact your doc if the condition is still the same after 2 weeks. If you call your gyn or dermatologist, they can probably prescribe something to try over the phone.

    Thank you for replying! It has gone down quite a bit so I think maybe it was a bite as it has a little head/hole like a bite would.
