Ladies have any of you experienced bruising at your mastectomy site suddenly after a year or 2 since surgery?

My surgery was March 2018 & in the last 4 weeks have developed bruising at my mastectomy site. Dr saw it & said its just a normal change to the skin around the surgery site. I find this hard to believe. It looks like Ive been punched in the chest. TIA

krissy_1966, I didn't have a mastectomy, but this doesn't sound right. Did you go in and see the surgeon? or has your MO seen the bruising? Is the bruising a dark color? or is it more red and swollen?

Hi Flashlight, thank you for replying. I did see my oncologist & she said bruising is normal. She said my skin is just changing. I accepted her response but seeing it everyday like this just doesnt sit well with me.

Its a dark purple colour with spots of green. Just like a large bruise.
