Butterflies are back

One of my roses
-
Hi. I have been MIA because I have been sick over two weeks. I am on an antibiotic now and hopefully this will knock out the infection. My PT and the exercises has caused me great tailbone pain so sitting is painful. Not a fun situation especially since I didn't start PT with this problem.
I missed some beautiful photos but catching up. Love, love, love the flowers and butterfly. So pretty and uplifting. Lisa so happy to hear the butterflies are back. Can't wait to get some pics of them. Where did you take your orchid pics? Are those growing outside? I think I may have a new hobby. I have bought several orchids and while recuperating I have watched a ton of orchid care videos. I am itching to take some photos when I am up to it if I don't kill them all off before!
Cathy, I love your rose. When do you get to move in? You will certainly enjoy those roses. Looks like many buds.
One of my orchid pics made the finals and appeared in the newspaper. I am among four finalists but the competition is very tough. A beautiful sunset from Kona, Hawaii is so gorgeous and that one will be tough to beat.
Hope to post some pics one day. Hope to be well one day. In the mean time I certainly enjoy seeing all the beautiful pics here.

Nancy, when I had a problem with my tailbone, my orthopedist told me to sit on a 2x4 piece of wood, so it just hits the back of your thighs . Kept the tailbone from hitting the seat...hope yours heals fast..the orchids are indoors.not mine though. I am very good at killing mine..
-
Aussie-cat, That's a gorgeous rose. How nice to have it at your house.
-
Nancy, I'm sorry to hear that you've been sick and I pray that you recover well. It must be difficult to have a sore tailbone and I hope you can find soft seating so you feel more comfortable while you get better. Well done for being a finalist in the photo competition! Sending you hugs. I hope we can move into my new house in a few weeks - getting things done has been a very slow process.
Wren, thank you. I am really enjoying the roses but they need frequent pruning.
-
love the rose
-
Thanks, Lisa. Here are some more.
-
Aussie, beautiful roses!!
Nancy, so sorry you have been sick. Tailbone pain is horrible. Trying to get comfortable is next to impossible. I hope you get some relief soon.
-
Thanks, Yogatyme!
-
I've seen ads for pillows that have a gap for the tailbone. Medical supply places or Amazon would be where to shop.
-
Thank you all for your encouragement and suggestions. It has been a challenge as my sickness doesn't seem to be improving with antibiotics so that is scary plus I started with a cough for the first time this morning. Unfortunately with my tailbone it is also the muscles around it that are also affected so using my donut pillow which I have from a past tailbone injury doesn't help very much. I bought an infrared heating pad which was quite pricey. I am an Amazon Prime member so I got it within one day and used it yesterday for the first time. Boy does it get hot!!!!!!!!!! It only has an on off switch with no dialing it down but with some adjustments it does seem to help. It is quite early on but I am hopeful. I have had to cancel my PT for last week and this week. I have a breast ultrasound and mammogram on Wed next week and may have to postpone that too.
Cathy, your roses are beautiful.
Have a great weekend and stay safe and wash those hands!!!!!!
-
try the 2x4
-
-
Nancy, I'm sorry you haven't been getting better and I pray you feel much better soon. I also hope the an infrared heating pad really helps.
Lisa, good photo.

Southern California does get green
-
Beautiful scene, Lisa. Definitely green. Nice hawk too. I don't have any 2 by 4 scraps hanging around so will have to see. We are basically told to stay home right now by our governor. A little difficult when you need groceries. I ordered lots of pantry items from Amazon. My dish soap won't come until April 4. Crazy times we are in!
